Tabseer Organizes a Virtual Workshop on Requirements for Obtaining the Saudi Quality Mark for “Cement and Ready-Mix Concrete”

Tabseer Company is holding a virtual workshop on the requirements for obtaining the Saudi Quality Mark for cement and ready-mix concrete products. The session will take place on Sunday, July 26, 2026, 12 Safar 1448 AH, starting at 11:00 AM Riyadh time.

The workshop’s agenda covers several key topics, including an introduction to the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) and its role, as well as an introduction to Tabseer as a conformity assessment body accepted by SASO. Furthermore, the session will explain the Saudi Quality Mark, its requirements, the customer journey for obtaining it, factory audit visits, and a discussion on the challenges currently facing factories in this sector.

The discussion will be led by Dr. Mostafa Afifi, Certification Manager and General Manager of the Quality Mark Department at Tabseer. Dr. Afifi holds a PhD in Chemistry, specializing in building and construction materials from Ain Shams University. He is a lead auditor and certified technical expert in the Saudi Quality Mark administration.

Dr. Afifi has held several prominent positions throughout his career, including:

• • Head of the Building Materials Laboratories Department at the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality.
  • Standards Expert at the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO).

He possesses over 12 years of experience in the field of building and construction materials, and over 14 years of experience in testing, standards, quality, conformity, certifications, regulations, and both the Egyptian and Saudi building codes. He has conducted numerous tests, developed many standard specifications, and performed audits on more than 100 factories across various sectors.
