Virtual Workshop On SQM and the New “Maneh” Platform

Tabseer is set to host an introductory virtual workshop detailing the procedures for obtaining the Saudi Quality Mark (SQM) and navigating the newly launched “Maneh” platform.

The event will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 (22 Sha’ban 1447 AH) at 11:00 AM Riyadh time.

The session will cover several critical pillars regarding industrial compliance and quality standards, including:

• An introduction to the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) and its regulatory role.
• Defining Tabseer’s position as a SASO-accredited conformity assessment body.
• Detailed requirements for the Saudi Quality Mark, the customer journey, and factory audit procedures.
• A discussion on the common obstacles faced by manufacturers during the certification process.
• A comprehensive introduction to the features of the new platform.

The discussion will be led by Dr. Mostafa Afifi, Manager of Quality Mark and Certification and Lead Auditor at Tabseer. Dr. Afifi holds a PhD in Chemistry (Building and Construction Materials) from Ain Shams University and is a certified technical expert and team leader within the Saudi Quality Mark Department.

His extensive professional background includes:

• Former Head of the Building Materials Laboratories Department at the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS).
• Former Standards Expert at SASO.
• Over 14 years of experience in testing, quality, conformity, and certification, with specialized expertise in both Egyptian and Saudi Building Codes.
• A proven track record of conducting audits for over 100 factories across various industrial sectors.
