Requirements for the SQM for the LPG Refillable Welded Steel Cylinders Tabseer Organizes Virtual Workshop

Tabseer Company is set to host a specialized virtual workshop focusing on the requirements for obtaining the Saudi Quality Mark for products classified as “Refillable Welded Steel Cylinders for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).”

The workshop is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 30, 2025 (9 Jumada al-Akhira 1447 AH), starting at 10:30 AM Riyadh time.

The online workshop aims to equip participants with the essential information regarding the procedures and standards necessary to ensure the quality of these critical products.

Discussion points will include:

•       Introduction to the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) and its vital role.
•       Definition of Tabseer Company as a conformity assessment body accepted and approved by SASO.
•       Detailed explanation of the Saudi Quality Mark and its prerequisites.
•       Discussing the client’s journey step-by-step to obtain the mark.
•       Procedures for factory audit visits.
•       Reviewing the main challenges faced by factories during the assessment process.

The discussion will be moderated by Engineer Ayman El Sawy, Tabseer’s Certificates Granting Manager. Eng. El Sawy possesses extensive experience, holding the following credentials:

•  Quality Auditor and Certified Technical Expert at the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO).
•  Head of an internationally certified auditing team (IRCA).
•  Previously held the position of Deputy Executive Manager of the Conformity Certificates Issuance Unit at the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC).
• Served as Technical Manager for the European Regulation on Gas Appliances (GAR 426) and for several specialized laboratories at GOEIC, including the LPG Gas Appliance Laboratory and the Fire Extinguishers and Equipment Laboratory.
