An electronic system that links merchants and importers with the bodies that grant certificates of conformity and those accepted by the Saudi Standards Authority and registered in the electronic platform of Saber.

The Saber system speeds up handling of shipments, reduces the circulation of fraudulent consumer goods, tracks products more easily, and increases the number of approved products that apply the requirements of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization in the Saudi market.

Saber is also an electronic platform that helps the supplier and the local manufacturer to register the required certificates of conformity electronically for consumer products, whether imported or locally manufactured, to enter the Saudi market, and the platform also aims to raise the level of safe products in the Saudi market.

The Saber platform was developed under the supervision of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization in cooperation with Thiqa Company for Business Services to operate and develop it in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency in terms of speed of completion of registration.

The entities associated with the Saber electronic platform include the Ministry of Commerce, the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality, the General Authority of Customs, in addition to the conformity assessment bodies.

Registration in Saber

The establishment registers the account on the Saber platform through the establishment commissioner, who is the main person who represents it in conducting transactions through Saber, including managing the facility, managing electronic identity records for authorized facility representatives, granting powers to authorized facility representatives, and managing the facility’s electronic services.

Conditions for registering

• The facility delegate’s account, the commercial registration number and its expiration date.

• Identity number associated with the commercial registry.

• A copy of the signature of the authorized representative of the facility.

How to register products on Saber?

The Saber electronic platform, which is supervised by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, is concerned with consumer products, whether or not they are subject to technical regulations.
