Saudi Food and Drug Authority Launches Third Phase of Food Services on “Ghad” Platform

Third Phase of Food Services on “Ghad” Platform
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has officially announced the launch of the third phase of its food services on the “Ghad” unified electronic system platform, effective May 25, 2025. This initiative is part of the SFDA’s commitment to enhance digital systems and improve customer experience in the food sector.
Key offerings in this new phase include:
– Food Product Registration
– Listing Products on the “Ghad” Platform
– Export Services
– Import and Clearance Services (via the “Fasah” Platform)
During the ongoing exploration phase, companies are encouraged to review products transferred from previous systems and update or disable those items as needed.
The SFDA has highlighted that all legacy systems related to food services will be permanently deactivated after the launch date, and import, export, and clearance services will be temporarily unavailable until the necessary product updates are completed on the new platform.
For establishments looking to access the system and update their registered food products, further details can be found by clicking here.
