Saber Updates Customs Codes for Building Materials
The Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) has announced an update regarding several customs items on the SABER electronic platform. These items will now be subject to new technical regulations starting on March 17, 2025. Importers and manufacturers will have a 30-day grace period to implement these changes.
The updates pertain to various products covered by the Building Materials Technical Regulations—Part One: Metals and Alloys for Buildings and Construction. This aims to enhance compliance with quality and safety standards.
The amendments are designed to increase the efficiency of customs operations and improve the experience for importers and manufacturers. They provide accurate and clear customs codes that will facilitate product registration and the issuance of conformity certificates, ensuring faster and more efficient procedures.
